Beer and not just Skittles. A Cross-Section of Pub Games in Britain
The pub is a firm component of social life in Britain. It is the place where one has a beer with friends and colleagues, but also a place to play games. Darts, Shove ha'penny and Skittles belong to these special pub games. James Masters, expert in the area of the traditional English games, will tell us about these pubs and their playful history. At least, the oldest national regulation of the pubs dating to the Middle Ages, concerns the games played there.
Admission free, no reservation necessary
